School and holidays

Joan is firmly established as head of Year 7 at Canon Lee School. She is very busy combining teaching, pastoral work and junior school liaison. This term has been tough-she says it's two weeks too long.

Joan has started to cycle to work after buying a new bike for our holiday in Devon. We stayed on Dartmoor and walked and cycled our way around the area. It was a fabulous holiday. It gave us the chance to see Janet and Charlie who've moved down there to a village on the edge of Dartmoor near Plymouth. The Eden Project was particularly memorable and impressive.

Rome was our destination for Easter. Barrie found the service in St Peter's Square very moving. Joan was less impressed with the Vatican, preferring the Roman remains of The Forum and Colosseum.
So it's been an eventful year-a wedding, visits to Florida, Rome, Devon and Bournemouth.

There were other things but we'll keep it brief this year.

Love
Barrie and Joan.
