It was only a short holiday but Warwick was really excited as we pulled up outside the adapted caravan in Blackpool. It was windy too – so strong the prom was closed the day we arrived. Things calmed down a bit and his two support workers helped him enjoy the delights of the resort.
He’s also discovered the joys of cycling – in a specially adapted machine powered by his support worker, Steven. He’s trampolining regularly, rock climbing and has a circuit in the Energize gyms. He has a new walking frame too so that he can exercise his legs.
Warwick has had a good year despite some issues at his house. We are happy now that there have been changes that indicate that support is improving. Next year Warwick is hoping to visit both Aberdeen and Chelmsford when the weather starts to improve in the spring.
He is home with us this Christmas for a few days. It’s always good to have him around.
Warwick, of course, has a facebook page (so you can become his friend) and we keep in touch with him by email too.
