Restore – now housing four people
Much of Barrie’s year has been spent setting up a new housing charity, Restore (York) Ltd. They now have a house and four people who would otherwise be homeless are living there. Continue reading
Holidays
We enjoyed two main holidays this year. The first, to mark our Ruby Anniversary, was in St Vincent in the Caribbean. It was wonderfully tropical and we were spoiled rotten in a five star resort. The island people were so friendly and humourous. They made the week really enjoyable. Continue reading
A new form of theatre?
Barrie was at the Riding Lights Summer School again this July. He worked with a theatre director to produce a ground breaking show, Tall Stories, telling personal stories with both digital storytelling and stage play. Continue reading
Belfrey Groups
As well as his charity work with Restore, Barrie has continued to play an active role on the PCC of St Michael le Belfrey and as the team leader for Belfrey Groups. This was the year things changed and cell groups were replaced by Belfrey Groups. Continue reading
